On 28th February 2026, I visited Malhargad Fort to participate in a cleanliness drive. I personally cleaned the entire fort area to the best of my ability.
However, I observed a large amount of garbage accumulated at the foothill of the fort. It appears that this waste has been lying there for more than a month without proper disposal. This is deeply concerning, as our historic forts are deteriorating day by day due to negligence and irresponsible littering.
I request fellow trekkers and community members:
If anyone is aware of any organization, local authority, or Pune Government department that can intervene in this matter, please help escalate the issue. Our forts are part of our heritage, and it is our collective responsibility to protect and preserve them.
Let us work together to keep our forts clean and respected.
