खर तर लोकांनीच माकडांना जवळ आणून ठेवलय त्यांना त्या ठिकाणी खायला कुणीही काहीही देऊ नये त्यांना जंगलात काही ना काही फळे फुले मिळतात त्यांना ह्या लोकांनी आयात खायची सवय लावून दिलेय म्हणून ते पायरी जवळ आल्यावर आपल्यावर रुबाब करून काही पण हिसाकावून घेतात

Gavilgad is I think is not maintained, even though you need to pay entry fees here but not seen that pathways to fort is maintained by department. We are not asking about beautification of fort..even we don't want that but at least the path through which we explore fort should be clear and landmark and markings should be available .. this fort area is too much bigger to explore.

Bhivgad was a good small and easy trek near Karjat specially in monsoon. You may get private auto/taxi from Karjat Station. There are water tanks, some ruins and a small portion of amazing rock cut steps.

I have done Bhimashankar Trek in September 2025 and that is one of my best experiences. It is so beautiful, so scenic and the lust of nature. On the way you can see padargad and a series of waterfall views which are also the plus point. I would highly recommend everyone to experience this once especially in monsoon. The day I started trekking was red alert day means high rainfall was predicted, still I completed the trek and that's why I am recommending you. Best time to visit is monsoon.
